What Happens After You Say Yes- Our Kickoff Process Explained

You’ve signed off – now what?

If you’ve worked with flaky freelancers or vague agencies in the past, you’re right to ask. The good news? That’s not how we operate.

At AB Web Agency, we pride ourselves on delivering a premium experience that’s organised, collaborative, and clear from day one. Here’s exactly what to expect once you say “yes” to working with us.

Step 1: Welcome Pack & Onboarding

The first thing you’ll receive is your Welcome Pack

It includes:

  • Key project dates and milestones
  • A link to your personal Google Drive folder
  • The link to a short questionnaire to gather details about your business, audience, and goals
  • Instructions for uploading images, brand assets, and reference materials

This is the foundation for a smooth project. The sooner we get your content and context, the sooner we can start designing something that actually works for your business.

Step 2: Kick-off Call (60–90 mins)

Once your questionnaire is in, we’ll schedule your Kick-off Call a 1:1 Zoom session where we dig into:

  • Your goals and priorities for the site
  • Your target audience and what they need to see
  • Any known functionality needs or pain points
  • Your preferences around design, tone, and user experience
  • Who’s handling what on your side

This isn’t a generic discovery chat. It’s a strategic deep dive, and it ensures the whole team is aligned from day one.

Step 3: Wireframes & Structure (Weeks 1–2)

We’ll map out your site structure and wireframes. There is no styling yet, just the bones of the site. Think of it like an architect’s blueprint.

You’ll see:

  • A clear sitemap showing the core pages
  • Wireframe layouts showing how information will flow
  • Notes on content and functionality for each section

This is your chance to give feedback before any design work begins. It saves time, prevents rework, and ensures we’re building around strategy and not guesswork.

Step 4: Visual Design (Weeks 2–4)

Once wireframes are approved, our designer gets to work on your custom website design.

You’ll receive:

  • A homepage design mockup first
  • A Zoom review call to walk you through the design decisions
  • Two rounds of revisions included
  • Subsequent key pages based on the approved style

We’ll need timely feedback here to keep things moving. We suggest a 3-business-day turnaround for comments – just enough time to think, but not so long the project loses momentum.

Step 5: Build & Integrations (Weeks 4–6)

Once the design is approved, our developer takes over. This stage includes:

  • Clean, responsive code
  • On page SEO best practices baked in
  • Speed optimisation
  • Any integrations: CRM, email tools, calendars, forms, etc.
  • Cookie consent and GA4 tracking

Step 6: Testing, QA & Launch Prep (Week 6+)

We’ll test your site across devices and browsers, set up redirects if needed, and install Google Analytics (GA4). You’ll also get a private link to preview the site.

Once you’re happy, we’ll launch (usually midweek to avoid weekend glitches).

Step 7: Weekly Progress Reports

From kick-off to launch, we send weekly email progress reports so you always know:

  • What’s been completed
  • What’s coming up
  • What (if anything) we need from you

This transparency is key to avoiding surprises or last-minute rushes.

Step 8: Post-Launch Support

Once approved, we push your new site live – but our work doesn’t stop there

You get:

  • 30 days of free support for any fixes or minor updates
  • A 1:1 CMS training session
  • Loom video walk-through of key functions such as uploading new blog posts
  • Access to our Website Care Plans if you want ongoing updates, support, SEo or Google Ads.

What we expect from you

To keep things on track, we ask that clients:

  • Complete the onboarding questionnaire within 5 business days
  • Upload all required content and images before the design phase begins
  • Review wireframes and designs within 3 business days of delivery
  • Provide clear, consolidated feedback via Atarim or email

Need more time? No problem – we just ask you to let us know so we can adjust timelines accordingly.

Communication Tools

We keep it simple and streamlined:

  • Email – for key updates and approvals
  • Google Drive – for all shared assets and content
  • Zoom – for kick-off and training calls
  • Atarim – for commenting directly on designs and providing visual feedback directly on your site

In summary, you’ll always know what’s happening…

There’s no radio silence, no vague “we’ll handle it” messages, and no ghosting. From the moment you say yes, you’ll have:

  • A clear roadmap
  • A responsive team
  • Deadlines you can rely on
  • A final product that reflects your business at its best
