The Goal

Lunita Home is Clair’s passion project. With a background in superyachts, she wanted to bring her sense of elegance and craftsmanship to a wider audience through ethically sourced tableware.

Clair’s goal was to create an online store that would allow customers to discover stunning, sustainable pieces that elevate any dining experience.

To achieve this, Lunita Home needed a distinct visual identity and a website that would capture its brand values and serve as a strong foundation for growth.

Challenges

Differentiation in a Crowded Market: Tableware is a competitive niche, and Lunita Home needed a visual identity that would catch the eye and convey quality, ethics, and style to set it apart from similar brands.

Brand New to the Market: As a new business, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) was crucial. We needed to optimise the website to help Lunita Home rank in search results, despite the high competition from established brands.

Limited Initial Product Range: Lunita Home launched with a curated selection of items, which meant we had fewer images and product varieties to showcase. We had to creatively design the website to feel full and inspiring, even with a limited catalog.

Solution

We kicked off with a Discovery Session to understand Clair’s vision, her ideal customer, and the unique qualities of her products. By asking in-depth questions about her brand values, her target market, and her style preferences, we could begin crafting a brand identity that felt true to her ethos.

From there, we conducted a Competitive Analysis of similar tableware brands and suppliers. This research helped us identify opportunities for Lunita Home to differentiate itself, ensuring Clair’s brand would not just blend in but shine.

In the Strategy Phase, we identified Shopify as the best platform for Lunita Home. Shopify’s e-commerce capabilities and ease of use would support Clair’s goal of growing a seamless, online shopping experience for her customers, while also allowing flexibility to scale as her product line expands.

Our next step was developing Lunita Home’s Visual Identity. We designed a clean, elegant logo that spoke to the brand’s values of beauty and ethics. Drawing from the name “lunita”—meaning “little moon”—we incorporated a subtle moon into the “a” in “lunita” and the “o” in “home” to add a unique and memorable touch that reflected the brand’s identity.

We selected a colour palette and typography that would appeal to Clair’s target market, creating a luxurious, approachable look that would resonate with her audience. Each design choice was made to convey a sense of timeless quality, emphasising the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

Keyword Research & Copywriting

To support Lunita Home’s SEO and brand voice, we conducted thorough Keyword Research to find search terms relevant to the ethical tableware niche. By targeting keywords with strong search potential, we optimised Lunita Home’s content to help it appear in search engine results.

Once the keywords were identified, we used them to guide our Copywriting. We crafted product descriptions, page content, and calls-to-action that were engaging and SEO-friendly. 

Each piece of copy was designed to reflect Lunita Home’s brand values, drawing visitors into the brand story while subtly promoting the ethical sourcing and quality of each item. Our copy emphasised Lunita Home’s commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and elegance, making a clear impression on prospective customers and helping Clair connect authentically with her audience.

  • UX and UI Design

    With the visual identity established, we moved into UX and UI Design to create a seamless, engaging experience for Lunita Home’s website visitors.

     Our goal was to ensure that visitors could easily navigate the site, find information, and move smoothly from discovery to purchase. We streamlined the navigation to make the shopping journey intuitive and straightforward, minimising the steps needed to browse, learn about the brand, and add items to the cart.

     Given the limited product catalogue, we designed the layout to showcase each item in its best light, maximising the appeal of each piece without overwhelming the visitor.

    We created clean, inviting pages that highlighted Lunita Home’s beautiful tableware. We paid close attention to typography, colour balance, and spacing, crafting a sophisticated look that aligned with the brand’s aesthetic. 

    The interface incorporated lifestyle images and clear calls-to-action, creating a sense of visual harmony while guiding users through the website.

    Each button, image, and menu was placed strategically to enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal, ensuring that the interface was as easy to use as it was beautiful.

    With the design finalised, we transitioned to Website Development. We built the site using a customised Shopify theme that allowed us to fully align the website’s look and functionality with Lunita Home’s brand. This custom Shopify setup gave us the flexibility to incorporate the brand’s visual identity, optimise page load speeds, and embed essential keywords identified during the SEO phase.

    We also focused on creatively presenting Clair’s limited initial product range. Using high-quality images and engaging descriptions, we created an inviting and immersive online shop that allowed visitors to envision Lunita Home’s products in their own dining spaces.

    Results

    The new website provided Lunita Home with a platform that reflected the elegance and ethics of the brand and laid a foundation for future growth. The custom UX and UI design created an experience that was both visually compelling and easy to navigate, keeping visitors engaged and moving them toward a purchase.

    With a polished visual identity, a well-thought-out user experience, and a high-performance website, Lunita Home is now well-positioned to attract a dedicated audience and make a lasting impression in the tableware industry.
